Chamber Auction 2007

April 9, 2007

 Letter sent to all contributors/bidders

On March 31, 2007, the Hanover Chamber of Commerce held its annual auction at St. Andrew's Parish Hall.  With over 70 people in attendance and 97 auction items up for bid, we raised almost $5900, enough money to give four $1,000 scholarships to deserving high school seniors this spring, plus some left over for other activities.

We could not have done this without the generous support of the business community.  Even though there are many charities and causes asking for your support, you saw fit to open your purse strings once again to contribute to this very worthy endeavor.  Having a son of my own who was a scholarship recipient in 2006, I know what it means to have that extra helping hand toward such very high tuition costs.  Because of you and other local businesses, students like my son will be able to fulfill their dreams of a college degree.  Hopefully, they will move on to successful careers and pay it forward.

I'm so proud to be a part of this caring community, and happy that you are part of it as well.  Thank you once again.

 Sincerely,

 Beth Sobiloff
President
